In My Best Bad Accent: Summer Hours

Full review here.

Excerpt:

Despite all the potential conflict and strong-faced actors, nothing very divisive or confrontational happens. The oldest brother has a daughter who's a troublemaker, Juliette Binoche is marrying a nerd, and the younger brother is extending his work contract for Puma in China. They decide to talk to a lawyer and get the house and art pieces appraised. Then the characters mysteriously fade off screen over the last thirty minutes and we get some long shots of children running through a garden. It's like the script writer went wildcat writing the last chapter and when the producer knocked on the door he grabbed everything he could, stapled it together and handed it to him, after which, the producer quickly glanced at it and exclaimed: "...mmm...très bien...très français..." and smothered his cigarette butt into the doormat.

And now I will watch Species for the fifteenth time.
